ELPE Health is looking to expand our existing team to include additional Allied Health professionals specifically the expertise of Paediatric Occupational Therapist or a generalised Occupational Therapist with an interest to expand their scope to include children, another Speech Pathologist with the expertise to working with adults and/or children with a range of disabilities assisting these people with their communication needs this will include assessments and intervention as required and a Continence Assessor.
ELPE Health also provide supports to individuals and their families outside of NDIS funding streams such as Medicare, Aged Care, W/Comp and MAIB along with those with private health or self funded.
The Organisation
ELPE Health Pty, Ltd is a multidisciplinary Allied Health business that operates throughout the North West region of Tasmania. The approach of ELPE Health, with the aim of sustainability, is to design and implement a service model that continuously adapts and improves services, supports and access in accordance with demand, gaps in service delivery and priorities in the area. ELPE Health currently employs and sub-contracts a range of Allied Health professionals including Psychologists, Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Speech Pathologist, Dietitians as well as a team of NDIS Support Coordinators.
What’s on offer?
The team at ELPE Health are employed under the Health Professional and Support Services Award and the salary will be negotiated depending on experience and knowledge. Sub-contracting arrangements are available for those that would like to maintain their own ABN and be able to provide services to all NDIS participants including agency managed participants. Employed and Sub-contracted roles are provided with flexible working hours as per clinician availability. Administration support is provided for all clinicians. Team environment, professional support and the ability to provide and grow a specialisation in the industry.

Occupational Therapist
The position
The role of the Occupational therapist is to provide specialist assessments and interventions maintain optimal client care, develop person centred treatment regimens to sustain independence in the community.
They will act as advocate and help people foster their capacities and coping mechanisms in order to improve and better their daily lives and experiences, within specified standards and timescales at ELPE Health in a confidential caring and supportive manner.
Essential qualifications, education, skills and/or experience

Current and full registration with AHPRA (or willing to obtain/able to if international candidate)

Hold a Medicare Provider number (or be eligible and willing to obtain Medicare provider number)

Demonstrated experience and working with participants with a range of disabilities or have the interest to expand your career to assist people in the community living with a disability.

Have a comprehensive understanding of NDIS participants and able to complete NDIS reporting requirements.

Demonstrate a high degree of autonomy, self-motivation, professional judgment and work ethic.

Have a high level of communication skills demonstrated by the ability to develop, enhance and manage relationships with key stakeholders, participants, and networks

Speech Pathologist
The position
A Speech Pathologist will be required to work with a variety of clients and NDIS participants through a sub-contracted or employed arrangement with ELPE Health. The age groups of clients and referrals vary from children, adults, and aged clients. Applicants with Specialist skills will also be considered.

Continence Assessor
The Position
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Registered Nurses to join our allied health team in Ulverstone providing support and expertise to our local disability community.
We are looking for a passionate nurse who can:

Conduct initial and ongoing comprehensive continence and health assessments, evaluating participants current abilities and support needs to maximise their independence.

Develop support plans in collaboration with the participant, carer and/or family, addressing the needs of the participant while applying the NDIS guidelines.
-
Collaborate with members of multidisciplinary allied health teams to ensure participants needs are being met.
-
Advocate for appropriate referrals to service providers for additional support.

Requirements:

Registered nurse with current AHPRA registration
